Project Info
The two new buildings, Mills Hall and Gibbons Centre, located on the south-eastern corner of Bowdoin College’s historic coastal campus, combine teaching, research and museum use and replace a former car park on the edge of a pine grove. They were constructed using KLH® – CLT for floors, roof structures and cross-laminated timber. The decisive factors for its use were the high architectural quality, the sustainable origin of the wood and its good availability, which led to a high-quality and design-integrated result.
