The Penny supermarket demonstrates the potential of modern timber construction in the retail sector. Around 1,000 m² of KLH® – CLT form the basis for a sustainable and cost-effective structure of high architectural quality. Key features include the exposed timber surfaces, the sales area spanning 20 metres, and a canopy projecting over two metres. Thanks to optimised structural engineering, a high degree of prefabrication and efficient assembly, a modern retail building has been created that combines functionality, resource conservation and contemporary architecture.
