Sustainable Retail
Construction
The Aldi store project in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, is a fantastic example of modern sustainable retail construction. It was designed to significantly reduce a supermarket’s carbon emissions, utilizing KLH® – CLT. The combination of natural materials and innovative technology greatly reduces the building’s energy consumption. A key design feature is the saw-tooth roof, which channels natural light deep into the retail space, minimizing the need for artificial lighting, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that enhances the shopping experience.
