Surfaces and Qualitydefinition

As a standard, we produce KLH solid wood panels in spruce and in three different surface qualities, which can be combined as required. This applies without restriction for all the panel types shown previously. With our new supplementary non-visible+ (NSI+) surface we offer a cost-effective alternative for ceiling and roof areas (TL panels) of industrial or commercial buildings.

SURFACE TREATMENT AND SPECIAL SURFACES

Both the industrial visible quality and the domestic visible quality panels are fully sanded. We also offer domestic visible quality surfaces in a brushed version. Should you require UV protection, varnished elements or any other surface treatment, please contact us. The same applies to surfaces in other types of wood, which we can offer depending on customer requirements and the availability of raw materials.

OVERVIEW OF THE INDIVIDUAL SURFACES

Domestic Visible (DVQ) Industrial Visible (IVQ) Non Visible + (NVQ +) Non Visible (NVQ)
Application Area Visible components without restrictions used in residential constructions. Visible components with with moderate restrictions, not recommendet for residential constructions. Visible components with high restrictions. For roof and ceiling elememts in industrial buildings or similar. Pure structural components with subsequent panelling.

Range of validity The stated surface qualities apply:

- upon dispatch,
- to the top layer only,
- not to narrow sides.

Only the criteria for surface quality
NVQ apply to narrow sides.

Surface quality NVQ + is
currently only available for DL panels.

Crack formation Like all solid wood products, the above stated
qualities are subject to crack and joint
formation as a result of drying to their future
compensation moisture balance when installed
due to the product characteristics.
This cannot be prevented.
